A third space designed to counter social isolation in a city where connection is commodified

The Joydragger’s House is a third space designed to counter social isolation by fostering connection and community without the expectation of monetary exchange.

In a bustling city like Lagos where connection is commodified and only happens in transactional spaces, we provide the infrastructure—space to rest, play, dream, build and connect.

The Joydragger’s House offers free communal infrastructure - through social events, artist residencies, a safe house, tea ceremonies, a cafe, intellectual salons, a craft house, and co-working spaces because we believe that by establishing an infrastructure that allows others build their own sub-communities, we can democratize access to connection, countering urban isolation and cultivating a culture of shared belonging.

I currently run this out of my 2 bedroom home in Surulere which I turned into a third space for the past 1year.
